Sew Many Blocks

Sew Many Blocks, in it's simplest form, represents the thousands of blocks we will piece during our quilting life. It also serves to inspire us to use the many beautiful original blocks in our quilt designs as well as create new blocks.

We love tech, here at Sew Many Blocks. Electric Quilt and Accuquilt are some of our favorites. We embrace new tools and technology and hope we can help spread our love of quilting.

Julie Wilcox

I started sewing more than forty years ago. It started with clothes, out of necessity, but my real love was quilts. The creativity and beauty inherent in quilting was so inspiring that I finally leapt into the world of patches, blocks, sashing and borders.

I spend my time quilting, learning new quilting techniques, creating traditional, applique designs and patterns, visiting the quilt shops with my daughter and of course building my stash. I also spend my days designing and creating art quilts, utilizing many creative techniques, tools and products.

I live in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley of Alaska. Winters are cold and long and perfect for quilting. With so much snow I think Alaskans really appreciate a bit of color and the warmth of a quilt.
